The Automotive Technician is responsible for performing repair and service on customer vehicles within management’s guidelines for productivity, safety and efficiency.
Responsibilities include:
Model the organization's mission and values: High standard of behavior and productivity.
Receive the repair or service order in a timely manner.
Perform the appropriate diagnostic testing as required and relay required repair information in a timely manner for approval by customer.
Inform service advisor/management of any additional or proposed work to vehicle for relay to customer.
Complete all repairs and service orders accurately and in a timely manner per management guidelines.
Comply with all safety guidelines and policies including the handling of hazardous waste and good housekeeping.
Complete all required training and certification courses.
Adhere to all attendance, punctuality, and timekeeping standards
Strive to preserve customer relations through attentive, thorough and respectful response to stated needs.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Education and 2 years experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Completion of a technical program preferred
ASE Certification(s) a must
Requirements:
· Knowledge of vehicle maintenance
· Knowledge of safety rules and regulations required to prevent injury to team members and other staff in work area
· Good verbal communication skills
· Ability to anticipate mechanical issues
· Knowledge of diagnostic tools
· Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
· Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in writing, oral or diagram form.
· Ability and willingness to continue professional development through training programs as offered
· Ability to prioritize jobs by order of importance, location, equipment and personnel availability, etc.
· Good interpersonal skills, ability to work well with a wide range of individuals
· Ability to maintain a valid drivers license and maintain a clean driving record
