Why does my rebound adjuster have "Hard and Soft" written on it as opposed to "Fast and Slow"?
Well, believe it or not, your rebound adjuster generally has a far greater effect on compression than it does on rebound.
Most rebound bypass circuits receive flow in both directions, comp / rebound.
Due to the fact that we see far greater wheel reaction speeds on compression than we ever see on rebound, along with the fact that "Damping" is "Velocity Sensitive".....
our adjuster influence favours the compression stroke.
So, if you are going to make a rebound adjustment just keep in mind that you may indeed be making your bike "Harder or Softer" and need to compensate with a small tweak on the comp adjuster as well.
