What a whirlwind of a 1/2 weekend
I left Thursday for Darana raceway in Xenia, Ohio for a 10,000 to win race and another 4.60 race
Everything was going great till it wasn’t
My coach had a turbo let go
Pulling into a truck stop for fuel
Well Rick Heilbrunn drove 97 miles to the truck stop. He helped me pull the turbo off the motorhome to verify it was the issue
I had already ordered a new turbo from Cummins for the sum of
3874.24
They next day air shipped for 124.00
This part was ordered at 6:30pm
I got it delivered to the truck stop next day air
11:04am it showed up
At 12:30 I was on the road
Praying that the nightmare was over
Well i went to the race and it got cancelled do to timing system issues
I will say Jeremy England and the race track team worked tirelessly to get the New system running correctly
Well the race was cancelled
I think the right call was made
Remember the race was for
10,000 to the winner
And the system needs to be 100% for that kind of money
I’m now back home
And my Motorcoach ran flawless since I replaced the turbo
Thank you to all the High Risk Motorsports customers that stopped in to say hello and still make it a successful weekend
And a special thank you to
Rick Heilbrunn for the help with my home on wheels
Racers stick together like no others
I’m thankful
Now golfing Sunday is on the sheet
If my elbow makes it
After a run in with a running motor fan blade 😞
Thanks again Rick
