Had a John Deere axle housing come into the shop recently for a major repair in a bushing seat. We got the housing on the lathe and centered it, and started machining. Then made a press fit sleeve to fit inside the housing and hold the bushing. This is a quality repair that will last for years and years. And made for a happy customer. Dont buy new if you dont have to.

Some more dump truck gate work. This aluminum box came in with broken pins. Got it cleaned up with the sand blaster, and got to work. Instead of trying to work with aluminum that has had attempted repairs, and alot of stress on it. We went ahead and built some 1/2" steel brackets and bolted them on. This was completed on a Sunday night, a few weeks ago, so the customer could get back to work on Monday morning.

A return customer called Saturday afternoon saying he had a broken tailgate hinge. And needed the truck ready for Monday morning. Even with half a load on the truck, we cut out all the bent, and broken steel. Bent the tailgate back. And replaced all with new, heavier steel. A fast turn around time, without cutting corners on quality.

Some more hydraulic cylinder rods that needed attention. We cut the old ones off, and made new ends on the lathe, then welded them on. The customer was back to work in a timely manner. Quality work and a fast turn around time.

When this lathe came in the shop, it was obvious that it had not been used in a long time. Yesterday I had some extra time to take the 14" 4 jaw chuck apart and get it cleaned up for some jobs that are coming up. With alot of time and effort with oils, and scotch brite pads, it cleaned up well, works perfectly, and is installed on the lathe.

Customer brought this Bobcat 430 to us for a broken H-Link, bushing replacement, and 2 hydraulic cylinders to rebuild. Instead of attempting to fix the broken cast steel part, we made the bores in house on the lathe and had our friends at Reigi's Custom Metal Fab cut out the rest of the parts. The new part was welded using a dual shielded wire. Iwe got it done with a fast turn around time to get the customer back to work.
