We had a wonderful evening of weather and racing at the bowling in Marion County Florida in Ocala
Still learning to work, my GoPro 12 and all the editing and clipping that goes on with preparing these videos. What you’re seeing here is the heat race.
Out of 100 the computer drew a 92 which put me in last place we started with about seven cars in this heat race.
I finish second which put me on the outside second row for the future
I gotta hand it to Chris the number two car
He raced for RTS and is from Pennsylvania
Very solid competition I’ve got my hands full to get around him

Ocala is a single line in the turns track
Unlikely, you’re gonna pass a good guy on the outside maybe jump in the start or interacting with lap traffic would be your only hope outside of a good pill pull.

Maybe next time I’ll get luckier and get upfront earlier. Want to give special thanks to my son Brett for helping out his dad who really needed help and is much appreciated. Had a great night visiting with the Larose, family and many of the racers.
Unfortunately, for Zach Larose, his transmission gr***de in the heat race and was out for the rest of the night because his back up motor was blown to a competitor.
Three weeks ago I took home third place last night. I took home second with a little tweaking I hope to get back upfront, but I will say the competition is a lot stronger than it was back in the 2000s when I raced with other guys.
I’m posting a video of the pits and the other classes that were racing last night to give each of you a better view of what we experience at the race track. Hope you enjoy it. I love this camera. It will be making the posting a videos so much easier.
After the first of the year, I’ll be mounting another camera on the back of the car so you can see all the action going on behind me since there seems to be a lot more back there than in front of me.

Don’t mind if I do, a nice shot of a truck I built four years ago still looking great. A picture under my new roof over. Had to share it with everyone.  special thanks to Mike Sharp at Sharp’s mobile detailing. He does great work. This was ceramic coated six months ago.

I need to stop the rain from running down on top of the trailers. Water was getting inside them. I knew without getting the water off of the roof. The trailers would have a short life. So I decided to build a roof over a roof that would also act as a gutter and drain the water off of the, 4/12 pitched roof over that I just finished putting up.
Using the wood that I already had, cut offs from earlier framing, this was the smartest thing to do, lotta work but well worth it. Here’s pictures along the way.
As I’m writing this we’re having rain today. We’ll see how it works. The white flashing was installed because there’s very little overhang on the one side, the flashing is to divert the water future in on the roof so that it doesn’t flow backwards.
I thought about installing gutters first, but then I realize why not just make the roof that I’m building pitched and take the water to the back of the trailer so that’s what I did, we’ll see how well it works.
When this is all done I’ll have 768 sq ft of 10’ high with E Trac every 24” on the walls with LED lighting in both trailers for all of my truck parts.
And 2925 sq ft under roof outside storage
with a total of 3693 of storage. So much better that the last 40 years of my life.
This is the most framing I’ve ever done.
So happy to be able to protect my stuff from water and sun damage.
