With all the talk about the corona virus we want all of our customers to know that we are still open for business. Regular hours and the same service you are accustomed to. We have taken steps to keep our customers and our workers safe by doing extra cleaning. We have been offering to pick up and deliver vehicles for the past few years and that hasn’t changed. When you call to set up your appointment just ask Ty or Larry about it.

With Catfish Days fast approaching we have opened up the Fishing Contest registration. Stop by and register for $10 per person. We will split the registration money between the Biggest Fish and the Biggest Stringer and give out cash prizes for the top 3 in each category.

I know I haven’t posted for quite a while.
Here’s what has been happening...
This has been a whirlwind of a week. We’ve decided that it was time to cut our ties with Best Oil and Cenex last week. We’re going to be independent and will be getting our gas and diesel from Edwards Oil. They have been more than helpful these past several days in getting us set up with an account with them to process credit cards and get our tanker loads. We have had to take down everything that tied us to Cenex. The biggest visible changes are the big price sign and painting on the canopy above the gas pumps. Other noticeable changes are taking the logos off the gas and diesel pumps. Thank you, thank you, thank you to our family, many friends and customers who have been not only supportive and helpful but also patient and understanding while we are transitioning to what we feel is a better choice for our business.

We ended up having 78 people register for our Big Buck and 15 on our Biggest Doe contests. Our winners are: Big Buck 3rd Place is Westley Stewart with 154 1/2 pounds, 2nd Place is Luke Johnson with 154 3/4 pounds, and 1st Place is Alea Kemp with 200 pounds. Biggest Doe 2nd Place tie are Karen Seifert and MollyAnn Christenson with 128 pounds and 1st Place is Jayna Kemp with 130 pounds. Congratulations to our winners!

Attention Hunters: the deadline to apply for doe permits is fast approaching! If you are hunting in an area that has doe permits you must buy your hunting license on or before September 7th to get in on the drawing.

The final results are in...Biggest Fish: First Place is Loren Lindquist with 8.38 lbs, 2nd Place is Tony Reich with 7.49 lbs, and 3rd Place is Krystal Archambeau with 7.29 lbs. Biggest Stringer: 1st Place is Owen Svoboda with 20.34 lbs, 2nd Place is Tony Raich with 19.51 lbs, and 3rd Place is Loren Lindquist with 17.98 lbs. Congratulations to all the winners!

Here's the latest update...Biggest Fish: 1st Place is Charlie Felknor with 6.61 pounds, 2nd Place is Sylis Svoboda with 5.65 pounds and 3rd Place is Owen Svoboda with 4.74 pounds. Biggest Stringer: 1st Place is Owen Svoboda with 20.34 pounds, 2nd Place is Bernie Goebel Jr with 12.3 pounds and 3rd Place is Charlie Felknor with 11.8 pounds.

We ended up having 73 people register for our Big Buck contest. Only 6 hunters on the contest brought in bucks to be weighed. Our Third Place goes to Dave Sunde with 183# buck. Second Place goes to Mark Baumann with 204# buck and in First Place is Landon Autio with 208 1/2# buck. Congratulations to all of our hunters!
