We hope this weekend yields ya a fish as big as the 45” musky Phillip Gutmann caught recently at Lake of the Woods. He runs a DVX20 from our treasured dealer Angler’s Edge in Northern Illinois. Way to go, Phillip! We’re grateful for your allegiance to Vexus.

Given the fact he makes a full-time living sourcing the latest and most innovative bass fishing lures from Japan to sell to American fishing tackle retailers, it’s fair to say the always-comical Aaron Teal from Minnesota is not afraid to try something new.

Sometimes, that includes taking the biggest fiberglass Vexus® bass boat made over flooded concrete dams to win tournaments.

Such was exactly the case recently when Teal navigated his Vexus® VXs21 from In-Tune Marine into water most of his competitors thought was impossible to reach.

He then pitched a salt-dense soft plastic lure classified as a ‘gravity bait’ – specifically, an Okura Stick -- to win the prestigious Classic Bass Champions event on Big Stone Lake.

The victory paid $15,000, but he also collected a Vexus® REV Rewards™ tournament bonus, and a uniquely cool Vexus® belt buckle for his trophy case.

“The VXs21 is a big boat and often promoted as the ultimate bass boat for big water because of the cushy Air Wave® seats and hull design, but it’s also pretty awesome at getting into water most would judge too skinny for a fiberglass boat,” says the 32-year old host of the popular Teal’s Bass Galaxy pod cast.

A poster boy for what a “bass head” looks like, Teal began fishing tournaments at age 12 under the mentorship of guys in the Granite City Bassmasters, and has carved out a living around the sport as an adult through his work as a former sales leader at In-Tune Marine, his popular social media channels, tournament winnings, and his Tomorrow Tackle import lure business.

“My business is a lot like the Vexus way of doing business. I’m providing an innovative, custom built product to America’s independent tackle dealers. I just happen to be sourcing 3” soft plastics like the Okura Stick gravity bait instead of premium quality 21-foot fishing boats,” grins Teal.

Maybe Montana’s not the first state that jumps to mind when you think of walleye fishing destinations, but the guys at Townsend Marine are frequently proving “Big Sky Country” to be a true player.

Chris McFadden and Brem Phipps just won again for the third time in a row on the Montana Walleye Circuit to claim the AOY title! This time at the Canyon Ferry Walleye Tournament.

They used jigs tipped with leeches and worms and said the generous bow space of their Vexus® DVX22s is key for both of them to fish comfortably from the front deck.

If you live in The Rockies, love walleye fishing, and are looking for a great guy and Vexus dealership to do business with, reach out to Chris at Townsend Marine (406) 266-5700.

Our Flippin, AR craftspeople like David "Boudreaux" Doyle take great pride in the fact that he and his teammates build our storage boxes to be tough, dry, and custom fitted to your boat model using the same innovative Infused Composite fiberglass construction as our decks and hulls.

We're Grateful for you, "Boudreaux"!

Gonna be a windy one at the BAM event on Potholes Reservoir in Washington, but Randy Potter has total peace of mind based on what he calls the smoothest boat he’s driven in 30 years.

A few images from Thursday morning's start to the Major League Fishing event on Oklahoma's Grand Lake. Vexus pros Keith Carson and Jacob Wall are fired-up.

They'll be a lot of fish catches to watch in this one, and most of them will likely be around Grand's shallow, flooded shoreline habitat, using power fishing techniques.

Keith Carson is so excited to begin Day 1 in the flooded bushes on Grand Lake in his AVX 2100 that his eyes are burnin’!

Vexus® pro Jacob Wall grew up in Southern Oregon, and fished collegiately for the Oregon Ducks before turning full-time angler and moving to Lake Guntersville, AL.

He’s a deep thinker, a good soul, and a proud new daddy to young daughter, Macie.

We caught up with him on the eve of the Major League Fishing event that begins Thursday on Oklahoma’s Grand Lake to talk high muddy water, food, family, lures and more.

Q: What’s going to be your biggest challenge this week on Grand Lake?

Wall: Adverse conditions. We don’t see this kind of high, muddy, debris filled water on Guntersville very often.

Q: What excites you most about this week?

Wall: I’d say the fact that I feel like I’m a pretty good summer largemouth angler. I feel like I understand how to catch ‘em at this time of year pretty well.

Q: What’s the best thing you’ve had to eat since arriving at Grand Lake?

Wall: Probably this cold, left over, chicken I’m holding that Alan McGuckin from Vexus® grilled and shared with me. I mean, in another day it’s probably gonna be too dry, but right now, it’s really good. (laughs)

Q: What three lures can fans expect you to lean on most this week?

Wall: A deep-diving Strike King 6XD crankbait, the crazy popular, new urchin style bait, and a ChatterBait.

Q: How does an accomplished forward-facing sonar angler like you use that technology in water that’s this high and muddy?

Wall: I don’t use it when it’s this dirty, because you mostly see debris, gar, carp and whatever, but finding groups of bass with it in these conditions is pretty tough.
