1970 Chevrolet Chevelle
This is a very honest, straight forward 1970 Chevelle Malibu. It is a 350 with a 350 automatic transmission. We are selling this as a running driving car however we have not had it on the road yet, been sitting down for over 2 years according to the previous owner and needs plugs and a battery to start. This car only has rust in one spot, the cowl panel where the windshield wipers mount. The part only costs $370 and install is simple for a body shop. Other than that, the car is a brand new shell with a rebuilt motor that just needs your personal touches on it like paint, wheels and tires and it is a finished car. I have the flapper door for the cowl induction hood and the logo and trim, its a real original steel cowl hood given to me by a colleague off his car.
What has been done:full floor pan - one piece welded in factory spotsfull trunk floor pan - one piece welded in factory spotstrunk lid - bought off a cop from his 70 chevelle, I have the original toocowl induction hood (i have flapper door, not pictured) - given to me from a friend off his 70 SS carfull quarters - original vin in factory spotwheel wells, front and rearfront fenderspassenger doorinner and outer rockersnew griffin race radiator - supports 925 hp, out of a friends chevellenew tilt column (original rebuilt chevy column bought from column rebuilding specialist)power brake upgrade for drum brakes - this car STOPSnew super fast ratio steering gearbox (less turns end to end to turn car)grant steering wheelcustom autosound brand speakers and stereo (factory look with iPod integration, usb port, auxiliary cable input etc hidden and built in)bucket seats (car came with bench) - bought off cop with trunk lidfull interior (bought a full kit, headliner and detail pieces not installed) - all parts not installed come with the carseats recovered and new seat foam installed2 sets of wheels, one are rally wheels from my uncles 71 chevelle and the other centerline wheels came with the car, needs tiresbody mounts replaced during rust repairsummit racing 2.5" dual exhaustnew gas tank and fuel sending unit new starter, the engine is solid. As you can see all the rust repair is DONE minus the cowl panel, this car is ready for paint. Car is primed over bare metal, it hides nothing. This car has not run for two years but I will have help from my mechanic buddy to have it back to road worthy. I would say you could drive it home but the tires are dry rotted and need to be replaced. If you live local, then come pick up the tires and title, pay for the car, throw new tires on it and get plates and registration, and drive it home. The shocks were replaced when I bought the car. the car has little work into it and is in a great spot for you to spend little money in it and have a classic car built just the way you want it, while avoiding all the major restoration. Just paint and finishing touches and your cruising.
I've given you all the details. I expect a serious buyer to look this car over. I will ship this car if you want or arrange to have it picked up.

1964 Chevrolet Chevelle

History of the 1964-1967 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu

When you’re King of the Hill as GM was in the early 1960’s, and own 50% of the entire market (with 25% of the entire market being Chevrolet alone), you can afford to let the little guys “go first.” At least that’s how GM played their cards with the Malibu. By 1964, these “BOPers” as they were called joined the all-new Chevrolet Chevelle and upscale version, Malibu, on a new perimeter frame and firmly ensconced themselves in the “intermediate” market. With Chevrolet being the major player in the GM stable, it only seemed fitting that these cars were given much publicity by the auto magazines of the day. The basic engine was the 194 cubic inch six shared with the Nova, with a larger 230 six shared with the senior cars optional, and a 283 V8 with up to 220hp for 1964. An SS option was immediately available, as was a new Chevrolet Division sourced four speed floor shift. Initial descriptions of the Malibu did not include the 327 V8 option which magically appeared before the end of 1964, boosting maximum power to 300 hp. Curved side glass and crisp styling combined with sparkling small block V8 performance helped give these cars a nice send-off, and given the fact that compact sales had started to wane during 1963, these cars proved to be perfectly timed to capture the mood of America, which was once again moving towards somewhat larger, sportier and more powerful cars. These cars were masterfully done. By mid-year 1965, a 396 cubic inch 375 hp big-block was optional, a good 18 months after GM brethren Pontiac introduced their powerful GTO, and the race was on! 1966 saw a reskin, for a then fashionable Coke bottle look, with “flying buttress” rear roof styling on 2 door sports coupes.
