With the hot weather quickly approaching, we want to remind everyone of how quickly the inside of a car can reach deadly temperatures!

We all know the feeling of getting into the car on a hot day; the air is thick and hard to breathe as you scramble to roll your windows down and crank the AC. Imagine being a child or a pet trapped inside that vehicle even for ten minutes!

Every year we hear about children and dogs dying from being left inside of a hot car; so DON'T DO IT! And if you see it happening, call 911! You could save a life!

Tomorrow is the big day! We will be here rain or shine, worst case scenario we can all hang out in the heated shop and stare at the cars through the garage doors. 😆 Either way, looking forward to seeing everyone and raising some funds for charity! ❤️

As the owner of Top Notch, I don't get to do much wrenching any more. My job first and foremost is shop management; talking to customers, making appointments, creating estimates, ordering parts and supplies, administrative work, etc... it makes it difficult to wrench when I have to stop every ten minutes for something else.

But when it's a job that has no deadline (aka the hubby's Audi RS6) I can chip away at the job whenever I have time. So for those who knew this was a woman owned shop but weren't sure if she actually worked on cars, the answer is yes, she does! 😁

This Audi is a bi-turbo V8 crammed into a very small engine bay and so to do anything major, the engine has to be removed. It calls for 25 hours of labor just to remove/install the engine. While it's out we'll be resealing much of the engine, swapping the transmission to a manual 6 speed, the timing belt, turbo and downpipe upgrades, rebuild the steering rack, engine mounts, hoses and some other bits and pieces. Wish me luck! 😅
