Sweet Valley Ranch is seeking an experienced, dependable Part-Time Animal Care Assistant to help care for approximately 18 different species of reptiles, tortoises, and birds at the Ranch.
📍 Location: Sweet Valley Ranch – Fayetteville, NC
⏰ Hours: Approximately 20 hours per week
📅 Weekend availability is required
💰 Pay: $12–$18 per hour, based on experience
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
We are specifically looking for applicants who have hands-on experience caring for reptiles, tortoises, birds, or similar exotic animal species. Applicants should be comfortable handling and working around these animals and have an understanding of their day-to-day care needs.
Responsibilities include:
• Feeding animals and providing fresh water
• Cleaning and maintaining habitats and enclosures
• Cleaning and maintaining the animal room and surrounding work areas
• General animal care and observation
• Monitoring animals for changes in health, behavior, or condition and reporting concerns
• Maintaining clean, safe, and sanitary environments
• Assisting with other animal-care duties as needed
We are looking for someone who is dependable, attentive to detail, comfortable working hands-on with these animal populations, and willing to perform the cleaning and physical work required for proper animal care.
