Fall drives should come with colorful views, not questions about your brakes.

Watch for signs that your braking system may need attention:
• Squealing or grinding sounds
• A soft or vibrating brake pedal
• Pulling to one side
• A brake warning light
• Longer stopping distance

Have you ever noticed one of these warning signs?

Tell us which one caught your attention first.

October is Fall Car Care Month, and shorter days make your vehicle’s lights especially important.

Take a few minutes to check your headlights, brake lights, turn signals, and hazard lights. Having someone help you complete a quick walk-around can make it easier to spot a bulb that is not working properly.

Have you ever discovered a burned-out bulb because another driver told you?

Today is World Smile Day, and sometimes a little courtesy on the road is all it takes to brighten someone’s day.

Letting another driver merge, giving a friendly wave, leaving extra space, or showing patience in traffic can help make the road better for everyone.

What is one kind or courteous thing another driver has done that made you smile?

🌧️ The storm has passed, but is your vehicle ready for the next drive?

After rough weather, take a moment to look over your vehicle before getting back on the road. Tire condition, brakes, lights and wipers, and any new noises or warning lights can all be worth paying attention to.

And remember: never drive through floodwater when you cannot tell how deep it is.

What's the first thing you check after a rough-weather drive?

🚗 Quick question: What's always in your glove box?

Every driver seems to have a few things that never leave the vehicle. Maybe it's an extra pair of sunglasses, a flashlight, vehicle paperwork, an extra phone charger, napkins from somewhere you don't remember... or something completely random.

What's one thing we would definitely find in YOUR glove box? Drop it in the comments — let's see who has the most unexpected answer.👇

Military family schedules can keep a vehicle busy.

Between early report times, school drop-offs, training schedules, and drives between New Bern and Havelock, your vehicle can cover a lot of ground. Taking a little time to stay on top of things like tires, fluids, lights, brakes, and emergency supplies can make a real difference when schedules get hectic.

Military families, what's one item that always stays in your vehicle? Share it below.👇

Today, on National POW/MIA Recognition Day, we honor former prisoners of war and remember the service members who remain missing in action.

We also recognize the families who have carried their memory and waited for answers.

You are not forgotten.
