One of the questions we get asked the most is: "Do I have to get my vehicle to your shop?" If your car won't start, broke down at home, or decided to quit in the parking lot at work, give us a call. That's exactly why we offer mobile service.

Some repairs are best handled in the shop where we have access to all of our equipment. Others can be taken care of right where your vehicle sits.

Transmission service is one of those things people love putting off because the vehicle is "still driving fine."

Truth is, that's usually the point... Maintenance isn't supposed to happen after something breaks. It's supposed to help keep it from breaking in the first place.

We've seen people spend a couple hundred dollars on maintenance and keep driving for years. We've also seen people skip it because they wanted to save a little money, then end up replacing an entire transmission later.

We're not saying every transmission service prevents every failure. Cars break. Parts wear out. That's life.

But we'd much rather service a transmission than tell somebody they need a new one.

If you've called Fat Boy's Mobile Mechanic, chances are you've already met the guy behind it all.

Cody has been turning wrenches for 16 years and has a passion for all things mechanical, especially diesel engines. Whether it's a routine repair or tracking down a problem that has everyone else stumped, he loves getting people back on the road.

When he's not working, you'll probably find him talking about his 2013 Shelby GT500, snacking on pistachios, or quoting White Chicks... and yes, he can recite just about every line from the movie.

Around the shop, Cody is known for being a big goofball who likes to keep people laughing, but when it comes to your vehicle, he's all business.

If you've had to add coolant more than once recently, there's a reason.

Coolant doesn't just disappear. Whether it's a hose, water pump, radiator, or something else, it's always cheaper to find the leak than keep hoping it'll fix itself.

If your vehicle's been running hot or you've noticed the coolant level dropping, let us check it before it leaves you stranded.

We've learned something over the years... The cheapest repair is almost always the one you do before something else breaks.

That little coolant leak, worn belt, or funny noise may not seem like a big deal today, but we've seen small problems turn into major repairs more times than we can count.

We'd much rather replace a belt than replace an engine.
