A friend and business contact in Taizhou, China sent me this video from her area during Typhoon Dolphin.

The nighttime footage shows floodwater rushing through the streets, followed by a look at the flooding in daylight.

Typhoon Dolphin made landfall in Zhejiang Province on August 9, bringing torrential rain and powerful winds to the region.

She told me the storm was also disrupting communications and internet service. Thankfully, she is safe, and she gave me permission to share the video.

Pretty incredible to get a firsthand look at what people in Taizhou have been dealing with.

Wishing everyone affected a safe and quick recovery.

The nighttime footage shows floodwater rushing through the streets, followed by a look at the extent of the flooding in daylight.

Typhoon Dolphin made landfall in Zhejiang Province on August 9, bringing powerful winds and torrential rainfall. Taizhou was directly affected by the storm and severe flooding.

My friend told me the weather was also disrupting communications and internet service in the area. Thankfully, she is safe.

We normally post automotive content here, but this was something I thought was worth sharing. It’s one thing to see a major storm on the news. It’s another when someone you know sends you video showing what people there are actually experiencing.
