Mark Zachos, president of Synercon and DG Technologies was in Warren, Mich., last week for Macomb Community College's annual CyberAuto Challenge. Established in 2012, the challenge is considered the oldest and longest-running event that focuses on cybersecurity. Seeking to inspire and train the next generation workforce, the challenge places students on teams with both industry and government experts, as well as hackers and researchers, to work on real platforms and full systems. Zachos was at the event representing University of Detroit Mercy, where he is on the faculty as the director and founder of the university’s Virtual Cyber Engineering laboratory. Synercon founder Jeremy Daily was also in Warren for the event.
