My heart goes out to the family, friends and community that surrounded Kyle Stephens. I didn't know him much at a personal level, but I knew him professionally here at my shop German Precision Auto. Kyle and I both started our business visions around the same time and within the Falling Waters demographic.
My first interaction was when I stopped in to Kyles shop located on rt11 as a consideration for my own setup. The property for sale sign was still posted and I asked the guy what the details were. He said, "I actually just sold it to this guy!" and pointed to Kyle lol. We all shot the sh*t for a few mins, smiled and went our separate ways.
My following interaction was just a bit later when Kyle and I were both in the same WV State Inspection class. This is when we had a little more personal interaction because neither of us knew anyone else in the class. So when we saw each other, naturally we sat together. As we were both up and coming at the time, we had a few moments to share our visions with each other and talk about how we could support each other professionally. That was when I knew that, not only was Kyle a good man, but also that there was no doubt he would succeed with his vision! He displayed integrity, positive mannerisms, a calm demeanor and a determination not found in many at his up and coming age.
My respect for him continued to grow as the years went by. We've worked with Stephens Towing since the beginning and almost exclusively. I've never heard anything negative about him; His reputation usually preceded him (personally and professionally) and I have no doubt that his legacy will carry on!
