The '69 Mach 1 Mustang took Best Of Show in the Classic Cars Division at the Paradise Dragstrip Thrills On The Hill Car Show in Calhoun, GA today. We just finished her this week after several months of restoration, so this was her debut. We had a great time seeing old friends and making some new ones. The win was just the icing on the cake. 😊

James Easley & Pop David Easley are getting the '69 Mach 1 Mustang ready to go to the Paradise Dragstrip Thrills On The Hill Car Show tomorrow in Calhoun, GA. It's finally finished. Yay!
I told Pop I was disappointed in him because he had ample opportunities to spray James with the water hose but he failed to do so. 🤣
And for those wondering (because I asked, too), this is how this car looked when it rolled off the assembly line. The hood and spoiler were factory black on this Mach 1.
I will take better pictures tomorrow at the show.

Our friends Taylor and Mallory stopped by to see us yesterday and show us their new Jeep.
It is a 1951 CJ3A.
Taylor is an Antique Auto Mechanic. He works on anything with points, condenser, magneto and carburators. He specializes in pre 1915 (Steam and Brass) cars, if anyone needs something like that fixed. Not many talented guys like him around that can fix the super old school stuff. They're in Ball Ground, so not too very far away.

We had the pleasure of putting exhaust on this beautiful 1965 Chevy C10 truck for a customer today. We put it back in the shop when it started to rain. This one is nearly finished with the restoration process. Love the red and white! ❤️

Well, the '69 Mach 1 Mustang won't be making her debut tomorrow at the Thrills On The Hill Show. It has been postponed due to the forecasted continued rain. James and Pop were planning to work late into the night to get her done but now can get a little rest. They've been working hard on this one, trying to get it finished for this show, in between other jobs and vehicles they're working on. 🐎 This Mach 1 came factory white with the black hood and red striping. The interior was redone also as it would have been when it rolled off the assembly line. The seats were black
with the red stripe and black carpet with red detailing. We prefer to restore cars how they were originally, when possible.
(Except if they were green. We don't really like green. 😂 Pam doesn't like white but she got outvoted, again. lol. We are always having a laugh around here about who doesn't like what color.)

Sheriff's Jeepfest Show N Shine with our 1976 Sienna Orange CJ5, 1979 Wedgewood Blue CJ7, and 2018 Punk'n Orange JLU. It was sweltering hot with the heat index over 100⁰, but we made the best of it. We saw a lot of old friends and had the pleasure of meeting some great new people. The best part is, Jeepfest supports many children's charities with the money made during this annual Labor Day Weekend event. We're proud to be from Pickens and to support this awesome event.
