What is it about e-bikes that people think they don’t need regular maintenance?
The number one e-bike repair request at our shop is for brakes. And it’s rarely a minor adjustment… we see hydraulic lines with little to no fluid, rotors with missing bolts, and nonexistent brake pads like in this photo.
If you’re a parent whose kids ride e-bikes, please have a mechanic perform (at a minimum) a safety check before the season starts.
