I do10 cars a month. I'm only one guy, and these chassis are hand built. I have a fixture for the sides and that's it. The rest is fit with the aid of some little fixtures to keep things straight and square.
I only take deposits when the next round is ready for fabrication. The chassis are built 5 at a time.

Well, the parts from Vanquish have dropped today for a URB. I want to make a new chassis to go with the URB drive train.
Skid $18.99

Front steer axle $159.99

Optional standered non steer rear axle $129.99
Right now, the parts for a 4WS car from Vanquish will be $598.93
There is an option for a drag axle car too. They dropped a F10W non steer axle, centered diff.
The parts for a drag axle car will be $568.93.
The question is, would a drop in chassis be worth it to you guys with a price of $450 to $500 ?
It would be a tube chassis, there would be 3 chassis done at a time instead of 5. They take longer to fabricate. Steel DOM .035 wall tube. Similar to the pic below

Here it is, the S406MB chassis with a URB skid. This is mocked up with VRD links and straight axles. F10 portals hook up the same. When the F10p wides come out, that will be highly recommended with a URB link kit.
I really like this set up. I'll probably will be changing up my own car to this skid. You get a flat skid, and a smaller lighter transmission with dig.
Overdrive can be had with portal gearing and ring and pinion gearing.

So now that the LFD transmission has came out after I started building this chassis. I get a few guys asking about what skid will accept the new LFD transmission.
You can use a vanquish 3 gear skid, that's a bolt in, you'll have to drill you own holes for the transmission in the skid. Or request URB skid mounting for the S406MB chassis.

I got the Capra skid with v2 Capra axles and stock v2 4ws links done on a S406MB chassis last night.
You'll need Traxxas 5525 rod ends on the rear links on one end, or something similar. It sits at 13" wheel base as shown.
If anyone wants a Capra skid starting with the round 3 builds, let me know. Round 3 is being built now, it's still not too late.
