Are you a skilled welder and leader who thrives in a fast-paced prototype environment? PTM is looking for a hands-on Prototype Weld Supervisor to lead our 2nd shift team and help bring innovative projects to life.
🛠 What You’ll Do:
• Lead daily welding and fabrication operations in our prototype department
• Supervise and support a small team of welders and fabricators
• Interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and weld symbols
• Assist in developing weld processes for new and unique prototype parts
• Ensure weld quality, customer specifications, and production timelines are met
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to solve challenges quickly
• Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment
• Provide hands-on support with complex weldments and troubleshooting
✅ What We’re Looking For:
• At least 5 years of related experience required
• 3–5 years of welding/fabrication experience (prototype or low-volume preferred)
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience in a shop environment preferred
• Welding certifications (AWS or equivalent) preferred but not required
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork
