6.0 Powerstroke came in with a locked up motor, as we tear into this motor investigating what went wrong we see a blown high pressure oil pump, but nothing else major wrong with the motor. Clean injectors, beautiful rocker box, push rods, valve springs, low pressure oil pump, etc.

We haven’t found the root cause of the major engine failure yet, but the oil pump blowing out from under the turbo surely doesn’t help it

What are your thoughts???

This Cummins motor only has 68,000 miles on it. DO NOT HESITATE to bring your truck in even over the smallest tick. This motor was driven with a broken valve spring and didn’t last very long after that. #6.7
