Just a reminder we are coming up on rodent entry times into vehicles. Once it starts getting colder out and your car makes a good warm home, they’ll be in there. If you live in a wooded area or have had problems with rodents in your cars in the past, it’s time to start putting the preventive measures into your cars and engine bays.

Leaking valve cover plug tube seals can lead to a more expensive repairs, if not addressed at first signs of issues. It can swell up the coil boots or damage the coils themselves leading to misfires. A little bit of a rear main seal leak on EJ motor.

Knock off NGK plugs! We are seeing them more and more. This customer bought them off a third party shopper on Amazon. They are not NGK. They are a scam that a business claiming to be them are selling. Be cautious of where you are buying your parts please. The writing on the plug where it says Japan next to it is off. It shouldn’t be. It should be the same. The plugs electrode are wearing after 20k-35k on the counterfeit plugs. Causing misfires if not worse damage to the motors.

Please don’t put stop leak in your Subaru if you are having overheating issues. We’ve been seeing this more and more lately. This is on a 2020 Subaru Impreza 2.0L direct injection. Call us and setup appointment if your having any temperature issues on your Subaru.

Direct injection engines utilize fuel systems that enhance fuel efficiency, but cause carbon deposits to accumulate on the rear surfaces of intake valves due to the lack of self-cleaning fuel spray. This condition requires removal of the intake manifold and walnut blasting of the intake valves' rear surfaces. Common issues include rough idling, poor performance, stumbling, and in extreme cases, a check engine light. Subaru models 2020 and later are equipped with direct injection engines. This is on 54k mileage
