It has took most of the day to get this overdrive section right cuz there is 4 different clutch packs and 1 st. And 2nd design of pressure plates and steels but I've got it right there's not one part that I reused I even changed out the case. Now set end play and rub thru valve body . And run some air checks and it will be ready to go back in jeep

Here is a 42RE Chrysler that wasn't oiling in the overdrive section and got a LOT HOT. So now it's either trot line weight or scrap metal and I've dug around the shop and found enough good parts to build a complete new overdrive unit for this 01 jeep grand cherokee. I hate the widow maker apply spring in the direct clutch but knock on wood I've never had one blow apart while I've got it in the press and released it

I forgot to put the chevy pictures as it was getting ready to go home. I had a grate time with it learned a heck of alot about the LS engine I enjoyed it it took a long time but I did as much research as I could on each component and upgraded every thing that we thought was relevant to are build Stephen I wish you and your chevy many years of happiness together lol have fun be safe . Let me know when the generator parts come in

This is a testament to Raybestos HI Performence Red Egale Red friction disk and Black kolene steels. They are 6 years old and pan hasn't been off in 2 years . It has made countless trips back and forth thru some of the biggest hills in the ozark mountains with over loaded truck and trailer. Not to mention cutting fire wood pulling stumps 3 weeks locked in 4x4 last winter in snow storm river sand bar crossing towing vehicles. Ive used it like I use any truck witch 90 percent of the time is aint babyin it. But the transmission has held up extremely grate still strong as a stick truck. And it was my very first one to ever rebuild. And what got me in the transmission repair business. A little maintenence goes a long way!!!
