It’s finally that time of the year, friends. Our shore-side marina store is up and running on our Spring hours. That includes our fuel dock, with brand-new pumps and 85 marina-grade non-ethanol gas. PARK ATTENDANTS WANTED

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ J. Strom Thurmond Dam and Lake Project Office is currently recruiting for two sets of couples to work as paid contract park attendants at Petersburg and Winfield Campground in Appling, Georgia, for the 2026 and 2027 recreation seasons (March 18 - Sept. 15, 2026, with an option to return March 24 - Sept. 14, 2027).

A full-hookup campsite is provided. Duties include, manning the entrance gatehouse, checking campers in/out, running a computerized reservation system, assisting visitors/campers, and routine safety checks of the campground. Contract park attendants must supply their own hard-sided, factory-built camper/RV (no vans, pick up campers, tents, pop-up, or hybrid campers) and the camper/RV must be in full working condition and presentable.
