🚤 Dear Local Boaters & Fishing Charters,

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience! Our boat ramps at Bells Marina & Resort will be closed Friday–Sunday, October 16–18, due to heavy kayak traffic guests during our Fall Festival.

Thank you for your patience, understanding, and continued support of our local boating community. We appreciate you and look forward to welcoming you back to Lake Marion!

🌊 Lake Marion Water Level Mystery — Can Anyone Explain? 🤔

We need some help from the water experts! According to the reported water levels, the lake should be higher. After the recent heavy rain, we saw the water rise, but now it seems to have dropped dramatically. What’s happening? Is it related to dam operations, water releases, or something else?

📊 The reported water levels and what we see in real lake life don’t seem to match!

A huge THANK YOU to Danny Bells for building our boat ramp high and long enough that we can launch boats of different sizes even when the water level changes! 🚤👏

🚣‍♀️🌊 Class I Whitewater, Big Surprises!

Kayaking through the Paperclip on the Catawba River was incredible! 😍 From the bridge or riverbank, it looks so much smaller and easier than it really is from the water!

The Paperclip isn’t very long, but you can get out and go again. The alternative is continuing down the river, where we hear things get much more challenging! 😂

Thank you, Duke Energy, for restoring the flow and making this amazing adventure possible! 💙

Our residents are enjoying the show so much that they don’t want to return to their rooms. 😂 They’re standing by the boat ramp, watching the lake rise and nature put on a spectacular display.
