Roy's Auto Center Roy's Auto Center has been locally owned and operated for over fifty years. Since then a lot has changed. But in some ways, things are still the same.

In 1975 Roy Shumard opened Roy's Auto Center on Fifth and Broadway with just six cars. The new Ford Mustang II cost just slightly under four thousand dollars and gas was only forty-four cents a gallon. Quite frequently, people who bought a vehicle from us, come in just to say, "Hi." People whose parents also bought a vehicle from us. People who are now shopping for a vehicle for their teenager. Ov

er fifty years later with two locations, Roy's Auto Center continues to utilize the ties to the community we've built up over the years. For example, the vast majority of our financing is serviced by local credit unions like Coast Central or Northern Federal. This keeps our customer's money local and puts it to use in the county, instead of having it sent off somewhere to a large institution. All of our vehicles are also given a thorough safety inspection by A.S.E. certified technicians. These technicians perform mechanical and computer inspections of the vehicle's engine, powertrain, fluid and electrical systems. The undercarriage is checked, including the suspension, wheel alignment, chassis, frame, and sub-frame. The safety of the airbags, seat belts, brake pads, rotors, and tires are also checked. The vehicle is then taken on a road test to check for any unusual noises, interior squeaks, rattles, or vibrations. Passing all of the above, the vehicle goes into the detailing shop where our professional detailers give it the finishing touches. When you buy from Roy's you can count on the best quality.
