🔥Fire Weather Update

Breezy winds and low humidity expected Monday with much warmer temperatures. Areas that haven't received recent snow are very dry. As a result, fire potential in these areas will be increased Monday afternoon. Any fire start will grow quickly and show resistance to suppression efforts.

Dusty Hurley formulated a plan for a car show for the fair. He picked Sunday because it is typically a day without a lot of activities. It was a great day and we had a good turnout of displays! Our trophies are pretty dog gone cool too!

Thank you to the Hurley-Ward clan for making this happen and for getting everything set up! Also, thank you for the fabulous food that you made and served to the participants!! Super Cool!!

Upper Fall River Jayhawker 4-H Club would like to thank all that came and participated or visited the first car show at the Greenwood County Fair. We had a total of 16 that participated with 5 of those being motorcycles.
A special thanks to the guys that gave me information to help with the next one.
Again thanks to all the participants. Looking forward to having one again next year. Watch for updates and more information.

Don't forget about the UFRJ 4-H CLUB CAR SHOW FUNDRAISER on Sunday, July 28 @ the Greenwood County Fair. Registration will begin at noon, show will be from 1 to 4 p.m. with prizes at 3:30 p.m. Bring your show or antique car/truck, feed truck, jeep, motorcycle or whatever you drive. A entry fee of $10 will be charged for each vehicle. A meal will be provided to the participants. Hope to see all there and you can visit the county fair exhibits at the same time. To pre-register contact Dusty Hurley @ 620-583-2047 or Rhonda Ward @ 620-583-2690. This is a fundraiser for the Upper Fall River Jayhawker 4-H Club.
