Back-to-School Blues The Parent Edition

The backpacks are packed,
the lunches are made,
I’ve yelled “GET YOUR SHOES ON!”
for the fifth time today....

We finally pull out,
already running late,
then hit the school drop-off line…
and accept our fate.

Cars front to back,
there’s nowhere to go,
and WHY is that parent
moving SO SLOW?!

At last, they jump out,
I’ve survived the first part!!
I turn the key...
click… click…

My car won’t start!!

The kids made it to school,
but Mom’s stuck in line
THIS was definitely
not part of the design...

So before school mornings
