Good morning everyone! I would like to address a few things. This is a long post, so bare with us!
Firstly, the show for this month September 23-25 is CANCELLED. I apologize for not getting back to those, or making a post regarding our last race sooner. Many things have taken place in the last month, and we were in limbo as to what was going to take place at the track. It is official that the track will be closing, and is going to be listed for sale on Monday 9/19/22. We had the opportunity to purchase the property, however it just does not make sense financially for us to purchase the track. Our businesses take precedence, and unfortunately we could not see the benefit of sacrificing that to own the racetrack. With that said we would like to thank all of those who came to support us this year. The sponsors, racers, and fans you have all just been amazing! We have had sponsors, racers, and fans that have never been to Cardinal Motor Speedway come out for the first time this year. We had many sponsors who knew nothing about racing, nor sponsored the track before do everything they could to help us have a successful season. We have also had staff that have never been to a race in their life show up and give their all to ensure that we were taken care of, and with that I say THANK YOU! A racetrack takes a village and then some to be operational, and we wouldn’t have been able to open at all if it wasn’t for those sacrificing their time to come along side us, and step outside of their comfort zones. There isn’t enough words to express our gratitude to each and every one of you who have had a part this year. We had so many plans for this track, and the future of this track. One of those plans was to bring the Monster Truck Nitro Tour to Cardinal Motor Speedway! Timing just wasn’t on our side for this, as we got a message back from Chris Kroening this morning asking to have an event at the track in late October. This year was a challenging year, but regardless we had an amazing time, and learned more than we could ever have imagined. With this I close, and would like to say please support your local tracks and businesses. Kind words and referrals go a long way for a small business, and mean more to those who make them operational than you would ever care to know. Thank you all for a great year, and we pray nothing but blessings, health, and prosperity over your lives!
Love,
Dillon and Ashtyn Hill
