A common question we hear is, “Do you use OEM paint?”

The answer is a little more involved than a simple yes or no. There isn’t an OEM paint that comes premixed and ready to spray from the vehicle manufacturer.

Our painters use the vehicle’s paint code as a starting point, then carefully mix, tint, spray test cards, compare them against the vehicle, and make adjustments until the color is as close as possible. Age, sun exposure, previous repairs, and even how the factory paint originally laid down can all affect the final match.

Paint matching takes skill, patience, and a trained eye and it’s one of those behind-the-scenes details that makes a big difference in the final repair.

Details matter.

Not just the big, obvious ones but the small ones that take patience, focus, and a trained eye.

In collision repair, it’s easy to only notice the finished vehicle at the end. But the quality of that finish comes from the care put into every step along the way.

The little things are not really little when they affect the final result.
