Hot Rod Town

Hot Rod Town Automotive culture has spent generations putting up goalposts around who and what belongs. At Hot Rod Town, we're tearing them down.

If you're passionate about the automobile, you belong here! Check out the vision at hotrodtowngarage.com

True or false,
Cutting off your exhaust and strait piping is a performance upgrade.

Clout chasing on social media is ruining a generation of modern cars by turning fragile, high-performance machinery into disposable props for viral videos.

Why Clout Chasing Harms Cars

*Reckless Driving: Drivers push cars past safe limits on public roads just to get exciting clips for views and likes.

*Mechanical Abuse: People perform dangerous stunts like "neutral drops," excessive revving, and burnout competitions that destroy engines and transmissions.

*Bad Modifications: Owners install cheap, low-quality cosmetic or performance parts that make cars unreliable or unsafe just to look flashy online.

*Market Inflation: Viral hype drives up the prices of certain enthusiast cars, making them too expensive for genuine car lovers who want to drive and care for them properly.

*Increased Insurance Rates: Reckless viral behavior causes insurance companies to raise rates for everyone who owns these specific models.

What Ya'll think about that, you think this is has truth to it? let me know in the comments.

Haven’t posted in awhile. Probably mostly do to disappointment more then lack of content. Facebook continues to give our posts no reach unless we pay for it, and we are just not getting the support on posts to help it travel very far. LIKES do nothing for the algorithm, they do not help the post spread any.

Our mission was to start a grassroots movement to see if there was enough demand for something like this and could pursued investors to front some cash. Well we didn’t get enough believers in the time allotted and the investors left the chat.

I really felt strongly about this and after many conversations, thought a lot of people would also. Seemed like we were doing well, over 350,000 views, but then for some reason we could only accumulate 814 followers. A lot of people just said “it’s cool, but nah I don’t want to support it”, or “sounds like a cool retirement home”. Even some of the brands you all love to spend your money with told us they were not interested in paying tribute to the culture that made them successful. The goal was to do something that was not controlled by a massive corporation like everything automotive today is. To build something for the car culture, built by car culture. Not to sell you some over priced part to give you instant gratification, but to offer a place that gave long term gratification and a place to call home. I never asked for your money or you to buy something, only to support the vision if you believed in it, and to help spread the word, so we can make this happen.

Where HRT goes from here, no idea. Guess back on the shelf for now. I’ll never stop dreaming of it, and never stop believing in this community and how we could have had a place we could finally call home. I’ll probably work silently on it in the background, But at this time I feel like I’m just spinning my wheels.

Thank you all to those who believed in the vision. Been with us since day one. After a year of trying to make content and figure out how to get people interested, I’m gonna take a break for awhile. Have to find the motivation and the funds to try to get back into the fight.

Big corp = 1
HRT = 0

This is our “Temporary” town hall, if anyone is interested in a gathering or hang out, or learning more about the vision. Stop in or DM me. It may not be the full HRT, but one must start somewhere.

WHAT DOES “HOT ROD” MEAN TO HOT ROD TOWN? 🏁

When you hear Hot Rod Town, you might picture a ’32 Ford, a chopped coupe or a classic street rod.

But to us, Hot Rod has always meant more than one type or generation of car.

Hot-rodding grew from people who looked at automobiles and imagined what they could become—faster, better looking, more personal and uniquely their own. When HOT ROD Magazine began in 1948, its mission centered on automobiles rebuilt in pursuit of “better performance and appearance.”

That spirit never belonged to just one make, model or generation.

And we're not saying every car is a hot rod.

We're saying the passion behind them connects us.

Traditional rods. Customs. Muscle cars. Lowriders. Trucks. Imports. Modern performance. Race cars. Exotics. Off-road builds—and whatever the next generation creates.

You don't need to drive a certain kind of car to belong at Hot Rod Town.

Different generations. Different machines. Same passion.

The cars changed. The spirit didn't.
