Sometimes “I’m fine” really means “I can’t afford to go.”

We’ve seen it more times than we can count.

People stretching medications because they can’t afford the refill. Putting off an appointment because there’s no insurance. Ignoring symptoms because the electric bill, groceries, and rent have to come first.

And sometimes, when you ask how they’re doing, they simply say:

“I’m fine.”

But they’re not fine.

They’re doing the best they can with the choices in front of them.

This is one of the reasons we’re building Twisted Roots Medical Mission.

We want to remove at least one of those choices.

The cost of seeing us.

Our patients will be seen free of charge. We’ll meet people where they are, listen to what’s actually happening in their lives, and work with them to find realistic ways forward.

No judgment. No shame. No wondering whether you can afford the visit.

Just healthcare delivered the way we believe it should be:

Person to person. Neighbor to neighbor.
