MY STORY ONCE AGAIN, SINCE SOMEONE REPORTED MY LAST POST. PLEASE SPREAD THIS SO NO ONE ELSE GETS TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF AND FALLS FOR THIS SCAM!!!
My name is Rachael Hicks. And this is a brief summary of my story of what I have been through the last 2 months. I am now fighting just to be able to pay my bills and keep my house because of the financial ruin this mechanic, Sean Cleary, at SPC diesel and performance has put me through. I have proof of every statement below. I have previous workers for Sean that are willing to step up and confirm how backwards this mechanic is and how many people he has taken advantage of. There are many illegal things happening in this shop, to customers and employees.
**Rachael had an engine custom built by Sean 1 year ago, it has roughly 15k miles on it. Rachael has a warranty for 50k miles with Sean. Rachael paid over $7000 for this engine and has since found out many parts of this engine are not what she paid for. It has been in and out of Seans shop for the last year with various issues. This is the story of the most recent one.**
7/11/15
Truck broke down.
7/13/15
Truck was towed to SPC.
7/14/15
Sean stated the issue was a burnt piston due to failed injectors.
7/29/15
Sean confirmed a burned hole in the piston and failed injectors.
8/11/15
Rachael informed Sean she could no longer afford a rental vehicle.
8/12/15
Sean stated Rachael needed to buy injectors, unknown parts on the engine, lift pump, and filters.
Rachael told Sean to refrain from taking the engine out and that she cant afford a new engine.
Sean said the engine failure was not covered under his warranty because it was due to injector failure.
Sean stated it needed a new engine ($7200).
8/13/15
Rachael informed Sean she wanted a second opinion and the truck was being towed.
Sean changed his mind and stated he would cover a new engine, but Rachael needed to pay for new injectors, lift pump and filters. ($2820)
Tow truck driver stated to Doug Wilson (at Centerline Diesel Performance) that Sean had hooked up a truck to the rear axle of Rachaels truck and dragged it across his yard sideways and he was uncomfortable with how the truck was being handled.
Sean confirmed he pulled the truck with his truck but said he did so “gently”.
The truck is now having alignment issues.
8/21/15
Rachael informed Sean the engine and injectors were fine.
8/22/15
Rachael informed Sean that the truck was missing parts (dipstick, serpentine belt, intercooler, tensioner, intercooler mounts, boots and clamps for the intercooler, all intercooler tubing) $2200 in parts.
Sean stated he had the belt and tensioner, but the tow truck driver stole the rest of the parts.
Sean then states CDP took the parts to cheat him.
Rachael informed Sean that the fuel rail sensor was also gone.
Sean stated he would give Rachael a belt, tensioner, and fuel rail sensor.
9/9/15
Rachael went to Seans shop to pick up parts.
Sean gave Rachael a belt and tensioner and again stated he had no other parts.
Rachael had to purchase all new parts to replace the ones that were now lost.
9/10/15
CDP diagnosed Rachael’s truck. The AC compressor had failed. A $40 belt was needed to bypass the AC. It took a total of 10 minutes to diagnose and fix the issue after the truck was put back together.
9/11/15
Rachael paid CDP $990 to get the truck running, and back into Rachaels possession.
Rachael now owes $1550 for renting a vehicle for the last 62 days.
Please help me expose this scam of a company for taking advantage of not just me, but so many others.
