Happy Father’s Day to our dad, Bear.
There are so many things we could thank you for, but the older we get, the more we realize the greatest thing you ever gave us was the way you made us see ourselves.
As three daughters, we grew up knowing we were loved. We grew up knowing our voices mattered. We grew up believing we could do hard things, chase big dreams, and take up space in this world because you never made us feel otherwise.
You never raised us to be afraid of failing. You raised us to be brave enough to try.
You never taught us to shrink ourselves. You taught us to stand tall.
You never told us who we should be. You gave us the confidence to become exactly who we are.
When we look back on our lives, we do not just see a dad. We see the man who was there through every chapter. The one cheering the loudest, believing the hardest, and loving us through every success, every mistake, and every season of life.
The truth is, so much of who we are today exists because of who you are.
Because when a father spends his daughters’ entire lives reminding them they are capable, worthy, and strong, they start to believe it.
And that belief changes everything.
If we have confidence, it is because you gave it to us first.
If we are strong, it is because we learned strength from you.
If we have the courage to chase our dreams, it is because you spent a lifetime showing us that we could.
No matter how old we get, we will always be grateful that of all the dads in the world, we got you.
We love you, Bear. More than words will ever be able to say. 🤍🩷
