This past weekend was a big step for the future of Premier Racing Chassis. We have been transparent with the fact that we are working to build a new chassis.
In addition to our in house capabilities to race and test, Robin and I decided we needed to get some feedback from some other sources….. some customers/ teams that had their own tire programs etc.
Well we got that opportunity this past weekend at Paradise with Brady Tavenner and his team. They took a prototype to Paradise for us and not only did they have a great day as a “small team” …. They have continued to provide awesome feedback to us on the positives they felt, but also areas they think we can still improve the kart and aerodynamic package.
The record book won’t show it because unfortunately Monk Newsome was 1 pound light at the scales after qualifying ……. But Monk and Brady qualified 2 of our prototype karts 1-2 for the dirty tire 390 race at Paradise. Having speed and drivability in that class that doesn’t rely on prep was a testament to the work that Robin Bradshaw and our guys have put into the future of our program.
We still have some work to do….. but last weekend was a sign that we are getting there. And to be able to involve a family and team like the Tavenner ‘s was fun and rewarding for both parties.
Robin and I had a long conversation last night about what his next step is. We will share more when we have it.
I also want to congratulate all of our other Premier customers on their wins and good runs over the weekend. More speed to come !!
