World Champions return to Ellensburg, history is on the line and the NFR picture could shift this Labor Day Weekend 🔥
Here are the Roughstock athletes to watch in Ellensburg presented by Kimes Ranch ⬇️

Wacey Schalla | Ba****ck Riding
Schalla returns to Ellensburg sitting No. 15 in the World after a broken femur kept him out for more than three months. He had earned $109,070 before the injury and made an early return attempt at Farm-City Pro Rodeo in August, where he was bucked off. Now, Ellensburg gives Schalla a crucial opportunity to protect his spot on the bubble and secure his fourth NFR qualification.
Jess Pope | Ba****ck Riding
Pope has won three of the last four rounds in Ellensburg and each of the last two average titles while averaging 86.38 points per ride here since 2024. No athlete in any event has ever won three consecutive Ellensburg titles, putting history in reach for the No. 4 ba****ck rider in the world. A third straight win could also propel Pope to No. 3 and one step closer to another World Title.
Stetson Wright | Saddle Bronc + Bull Riding
The 10-time World Champion has unfinished business on both sides of the roughstock chutes in Ellensburg this weekend. Three of Ellensburg’s last eight saddle bronc rounds belong to Wright, including a 90.5-point performance in 2023 that remains the event’s most recent 90-point ride. In the bull riding, he has finished fourth, third and second twice since 2021, but has yet to claim the average title. He will be returning as one of the five riders in this year’s field with at least six 90-point rides this season.
