One day I snapped at Mike for moving stuff on my desk. Don’t touch the stuff. I left for food (because let’s be honest, I was just hangry) and came back to him welding a skeleton frame and making a mess. He was building himself a desk. A 1950s GMC pickup desk.
Well. That’s kind of annoying considering it is much cooler than my desk. Whatever.
Maybe I should be grouchy more often. Look what happens 🤷🏻‍♀️ you’re welcome I guess.
Side note: the three Cs on the bumper were the creative suggestions from our three boys (Cody, Clayton & Conner) +spray paint.

SO, what's been going on here? Lots of stuff!
Some changes are coming, but not to the collision world at this time. Is the open sign off randomly? Yep. Because I have been going to school. I will be starting my Masters in the fall and taking on some new endeavors. BUT-- that doesn't mean the work isn't still happening. Ever since Covid, we have moved significantly to electronic means of communication. A very high percentage of our jobs come from sending me the pictures, I write the estimates and communicate (guess how?-yep electronically) with the insurance companies. So, what does this mean? It means call, text, email or facebook message me and I can still take care of you. I will be available for appointments also. I personally prefer to people :) and I have appreciated the flexibility and patience of our customers.

I wanted to share what Mike has been doing for me :) We purchased my grandpa's 1998 sonoma pickup after a hail storm did its thing. He cut out all the rust and even let me pick a very dreadful, yet beautiful tri coat paint (my grandpa Vernon always said it should be RED). It's still in the works, but I am very proud of the work he has done and wanted to share.

The insurance industry focuses on cost containment. Consider how this impacts the day of a shop. This company is expecting the shop to contact EIGHT different vendors in EIGHT different states to order parts. This is insane. No one pays the shop to make eight different phone calls, set up new vendor accounts and then wait weeks for shipping. This impacts customer repair times.
Reasons they do this:
-they hope that the customer takes the check and runs (which tends to be significantly less than actual repair costs).
-desperate body shops who never learned “you’re not the freakin boss of me” and tolerate this
All of our parts come from North Dakota and South Dakota where we have established relationships with vendors who stand behind the quality of the parts.
Know where your parts are coming from. You pay your premiums and you deserve a pre accident condition repair with high quality parts.

Update to hours:
Let’s be real, Mike is always there working…BUT—I am headed back to school to finish up my degree and have to be on campus Mondays, Wednesday and Fridays. Mike will be available those days by appointment only. I will answer calls, emails and return VMs between classes on those days. I will be in the office Tuesdays and Thursdays 🙂 and continue to be available by appointment after hours like always. Thank you for your understanding and support!
