The campground is located along the Elk River, a convienent 12 miles from Charleston which happens to be home to some of West Virginia's finest fish like muskie, bass, catfish, and much more! There is an old hand carved stone tunnel that leads to a large sand bar beach area on the Elk River. The campground has a reservable outdoor open Pavillion for events. There is a catch and release fishing pond and a childrens playground. Lazy Ks Campground is close to shopping and 12 miles to all the activities and conveniences of our capital city of Charleston. In West Virginia some of the most genuine and breathtaking mountain views in the state can be found at the Concho Overlook! Located in Oak Hill, this hidden gem offers a stunning panoramic view of the New River Gorge. The real star of the show is the unique, wide-open look at a dramatic horseshoe bend in the river. Right across the water, you can peer straight down into Thurmond, a famous, historic coal-mining town that is now a peaceful ghost town with only a few residents.

The overlook features a spacious wooden viewing deck that makes it incredibly easy to soak in the scenery. It is the perfect spot for photography, a quiet picnic, or watching the sunset. The location is open year-round, turning into a sea of bright green in the summer and spring.

You can find this picturesque spot right on Concho Road in Minden, resting on property managed by ACE Adventure Resort. Best of all, it requires almost zero effort to reach. You can drive your vehicle right up to the area or take a flat, effortless 0.3-mile stroll from the parking lot. It is a simple, peaceful, and family-friendly stop that gives you a world-class look at the wild spirit of the Appalachian landscape.
