Safety first.

Blizzard warnings are very rare for the tri-state area. That alone should tell you how serious this is. Please — do not go out unless it is absolutely necessary.

Give the road crews and private contractors the time they need. This will take a lot of time. Conditions are dangerous, visibility is low, and snow removal is not instant.

Before complaining about how bad the roads are, remember: there is a human being behind the wheel of that plow and at the end of that shovel. They are working long hours in extremely hazardous conditions to keep everyone safe.

This is a dangerous situation for everyone in the field.

Hunker down. Stay home. Do not plan on going out until Tuesday at best.

Along with snow and ice, the approaching winter storm will bring with it the threat of power outages. If your lights go out, please do not call 9-1-1 simply to report the outage! Our Emergency Communications Center will be extremely busy with storm-related calls. Instead, contact your utility provider:

Summer is here, and more heat waves sure to come. As our volunteer firefighters work hard responding to fires, rescues, storm-related electrical fires, or just training with our equipment for all scenarios, it's important for them to stay hydrated, especially as their heavy, insulating gear makes them sweat even more quickly.

𝐘𝐎𝐔 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐩!

We’re asking for help from our community to keep our firehouse stocked with bottled water, Gatorade, or similar beverage to keep our firefighters hydrated, fresh, and able to safely respond at a moment’s notice.

Beverages can be dropped off Monday-Friday between the hours of 7am-4pm:

Our doorbell is located at the second door back from the street, midway up the parking lot. Donations can also be left outside this door if you don't see a member of our crew.
