Before you need a recovery point, make sure you actually have one!

Not every hook, hole or piece of metal underneath your vehicle is strong enough for a recovery. Using the wrong attachment point can damage the vehicle—and create a dangerous flying object.

Before hitting the trail:

Identify your rated recovery points
Carry properly rated recovery equipment
Inspect straps and shackles for damage
Never attach a recovery strap to a hitch ball

Safe recoveries begin before anyone gets stuck.

Staring out a new week! Happy Monday!
A five-minute look around your vehicle can prevent a ruined weekend.

Before a road trip or trail day, check:

Tire condition and pressure
Fluid levels
Visible leaks
Battery terminals
Steering and suspension components
Recovery equipment
Spare tire and jack
Lights

It’s much easier to address a problem at home than on the side of the road—or halfway down a trail.

A lift kit isn’t necessarily a “install it and forget it” modification.

After installation, your vehicle will need:

An alignment
Hardware rechecked after the initial break-in period
Steering and suspension components inspected
Tire wear monitored
Driveline angles evaluated

If something feels loose, wanders, vibrates or starts wearing tires unevenly, don’t ignore it. Let’s make sure everything is working together correctly.

BACK-TO-SCHOOL VEHICLE SAFETY CHECK

Is your teen heading back to high school—or leaving for college with a vehicle?

Before they start commuting or making those long drives home, give yourself a little peace of mind by making sure their vehicle is safe and ready for the road.

A back-to-school vehicle check should include:

Tires, tread depth and air pressure
Brakes
Battery and charging system
Oil and other fluid levels
Exterior lights and turn signals
Windshield wipers and washer fluid
Steering and suspension components-ESPECIALLY LIFTED vehicles!
Belts, hoses and visible leaks
Warning lights on the dash
Spare tire and emergency supplies

College students may be hours away when something goes wrong, and younger drivers may not recognize the early warning signs of a mechanical problem. A quick inspection now could help prevent a breakdown—or uncover a safety concern before it becomes serious.

Let Badgerland Offroad help make sure your student’s vehicle is ready for the school year.

Contact us to schedule a back-to-school vehicle inspection. Appointments are limited, so please plan ahead!

You don’t need to be a mechanic—but every off-roader should know what is underneath their vehicle.

Before hitting the trail, or driving over a curb, learn where these important components are located:

Front and rear differentials
Oil pan
Transmission
Transfer case
Fuel tank
Recovery points

Knowing what hangs low can help you choose a better line and avoid expensive trail damage.

Take five minutes to look underneath before your next adventure!

Bigger tires look great—but they affect more than the appearance of your vehicle.

Oversized tires can change:

Acceleration and braking
Fuel economy
Transmission shift points
Steering and handling
Stress on steering, suspension and drivetrain components
Speedometer accuracy

That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t run them! It means your entire setup should work together—not just look good in the parking lot.

Thinking about bigger tires? Let’s talk about the right setup for your vehicle and how you use it.

TURN UP THE RADIO—or maybe don’t.

A new clunk, squeak, grind, vibration or howl is your vehicle’s way of telling you something has changed. Waiting for it to “get worse” can turn a smaller repair into a much larger one.

If your vehicle doesn’t sound or feel normal, have it inspected before the problem leaves you stranded.

We have some questions for the jeep owners-

What model jeep do you drive? CJ,YJ,TJ,JK,JL,JT,MJ, XJ, KJ, WJ....

When you attend large vendor events, what kinds of things are you looking to buy?
Is it just small impulse buys such as decals, t-shirts or maybe color matched accessories?
Or are you looking for big purchases such as bumpers etc?
Or do you just go to window shop?

With Smoky Mountain Jeep Invasion being the next big event, if you are attending, what are you going there to buy?
