DCR pumps are Always in stock here and ready to keep your 6.7 Powerstroke from having a catastrophic cp4 failure.
Following last week’s announcement to our dealers regarding the immediate price increase to $2,400 on the S&S Diesel Motorsport DCR Conversion, we have received a few questions about the reasoning behind the change.
As mentioned in our Black Friday video at the end of 2024, a price adjustment has been anticipated. Delivering the highest-quality product and continuing to improve and support the DCR Conversion—especially as it has proven itself in the market—comes with associated costs. This price adjustment reflects our ongoing investment in innovation, reliability, and customer support to ensure the DCR remains the industry’s leading solution.
The price increase is driven by a few key factors:
1. The price at initial product launch over 2yrs ago was targeted on the low side to drive more market acceptance. If you compare it to similar highly engineered, no tuning, HP pump conversions for LML Dmax or 6.7L Cummins, it was priced low.
2. Non-stop engineering development and product improvements continue to this day on this product, which adds cost. We have been making changes to improve every bit of the kit from fitment, to durability to make it as perfect as possible.
3. There have been significant cost increases from almost every angle the past few years, from raw material to labor rates to tariffs and general inflation. There are components coming from several parts of the world, most of which have been hit by tariffs. That is not unique to the DCR. CP3’s, CP4’s and almost all other pumps are built outside the US.
4. The initial launch of the Ford DCR was with production from the original DCR pump plant in China which was there to supply medium duty engine plants in that region for other customers. We have created a large market in North America now for the unique S&S Ford DCR and to support that, pump production has been moved to the USA with millions invested. This move reflects the S&S Diesel Motorsport and Stanadyne commitment to bringing this product to market in the US and striving to source as many American-made components as possible, further increasing production costs.
We realize the price increase is significant. The value of this product is also significant, as is the cost to bring something of this caliber to market and support it at a high level. Thank you for the support.
