I’VE NEVER SEEN ANYTHING QUITE LIKE THIS JOB IN ALL MY FORTY NINE YEARS IN BUSINESS.
This 2007 Lexus ES350 was dropped off for what was supposed to be four NEW tires.
The vehicle pulled up with two different style wheels and tires on the front and rear.
The rears were “Run Flat” Bridgestone tires.
The fronts were a different style wheel, with oversized BLIZZAK snow tires, an extremely dangerous misapplication.
By the way, there was a lug nut missing from three of the wheels, and the only wheel lock was on the right front.
BACKTRACK A MINUTE. THE TWO REAR TIRES WERE BRIDGESTONE “RUN FLATS”, AND THEY WERE BOTH FLAT WHEN THE VEHICLE CAME IN, YES FOLKS, COMPLETELY FLAT.
AS A MATTER OF FACT, WHEN I DEMOUNTED THE TIRES, I FOUND BOTH TIRE’S TUBELESS LINERS WERE DESTROYED.
So, here you have a vehicle driving around with two completely flat run flats on the rear, and two oversized BLIZZAK snow tires on the front, in eighty degree temperatures. OMG!!!
NEVER, IN MY FORTY NINE YEARS HAVE I EVER SEEN THIS COMBINATION.
Anyway, as far as I could see, absolutely nothing has been done correctly on these tires and wheels since 2014, absolutely nothing!
BY THE WAY, WHEN THE CUSTOMER INITIALLY CALLED ABOUT THE INSTALL, HE SAID THE TIRES WERE “NEW” TIRES.
When he came to pick up the vehicle, I asked him where he got the “NEW” tires. He said Craigslist.
His “NEW” tires, with several thousand miles on them, were already eight years old.
I CAN’T WAIT TO SEE THE COMMENTS ON THIS POST. I’LL BE READY! 😂
