Josh Fields Announces Big Plans for 2018 Campaign

New Tazewell, Tennessee (09/01/17) – While Josh Fields is still focused on claiming wins late in the 2017 season, he’s already making big plans for the 2018 campaign. (Chad Wells photo)

Part of those plans includes a newly-acquired house car ride.

“I’ve been in meetings the past few weeks with Blake Terry from Terror Race Cars, and I’m excited to announce that I will be driving the Terror House Car for the 2018 season,” Fields said on Friday.

For the 2018 campaign Fields will compete in the Crate Late Model division in the Terror House Car, while also competing in the Steel Head division in his family-owned #11.

“I’m very excited and extremely grateful to be getting this opportunity,” Fields continued. “Hopefully we can enjoy a lot of success together.”

The 27-year-old Fields is currently in his 11th year of competition and has over 30 career wins to his credit.

Terror Race Cars was founded in 2013 by Blake Terry and his father Brent Terry. Terror Race Cars is bringing a different approach to building chassis in that they have their complete chassis drawn in Computer Aided Drafting (CAD). This allows them to do different types of stress analysis on each section of the car, allowing them to build a safer, stronger, and lighter race car for their customers.

Josh McGeorge will continue to serve as the crew chief on both Fields’ personal car and the Terror Race Cars House Car.

Josh has a single event scheduled for the Labor Day weekend. He plans to compete in the $4,000-to-win, Southern Nationals Bonus Series race at Tazewell Speedway (Tazewell, Tennessee) on Sunday, September 3.
