A Great Day Parker Canyon Lake

Our participants recently enjoyed an outing to Parker Canyon Lake, where they spent time fishing, exploring the area, and taking in the beauty of nature. Outings like these provide more than just recreation—they create opportunities for independence, social connection, relaxation, and personal growth.

We love seeing our participants experience new places, make memories, and enjoy activities that bring them joy.

Free Fishing Day!

Arizona residents and visitors will have a chance to fish without a license this Saturday, June 6, as the Arizona Game and Fish Department participates in National Free Fishing Day. The annual event allows anyone to fish at Arizona state waters and Community Fishing Program lakes without purchasing a fishing license for the day.

The program is designed to introduce new anglers to the sport and encourage families and friends to spend time outdoors together. While no fishing license is required on Free Fishing Day, all bag limits and fishing regulations remain in effect.

Officials remind anglers that the exemption applies only to state and Community Fishing Program waters and does not include private waters or tribal waters. Children under the age of 10 can fish for free in Arizona year-round.

Arizona Game and Fish officials hope the event encourages more people to discover fishing and enjoy the state's outdoor recreation opportunities.
