Diagnose, diagnose, diagnose… 📖 ✏️

There’s no reason to be buying $2,500 controllers without a diagnosis. A local dealer told this customer he needed said controller to fix his monitor issue. Monitor kept shutting down every 20-30 minutes, but after a few minutes of sitting would start working again. 🤔

One look at the schematic and I found the ELX relay could be the culprit. After disassembling the interior I found the Diode had melted which was directly above the ELX relay, and seaped burned plastic onto the load side of the relay. 🔥

No shots in the dark, no parts changing, just diagnosing and fixing issues here. 🔧👊🏻

This was a fun one.. this machine was intermittently losing power to the cab, shutting the machine down immediately. Found No key switch power to the accessory bus and an excessive load on the ignition bus. Bad key switch?? Nope… Load tested the wiring from the key switch to the fuse box = NO LIGHT.

After pulling enough tape and loom off I was able to find the broken wire, get it repaired and throw in some loom to protect the circuit from future failures!

No parts cannon.. no shots in the dark.. Just diagnostics and time. 🔧👊🏻

This customer got ahold of us complaining of a no charge issue. Drove clear back in the boonies to get to the machine, but quickly figured out this customers issue.

2 is TOO HOT.. (I don’t think I could ever forget that saying from John Deere Tech.) anyways, one quick check with a multi-meter & found no battery voltage to pin 2 @ the alternator. After verifying through continuity & schematics, we over-laid a new power wire, and away this one goes.. No more hauling batteries from jobsite to home to charge. ⚡️🔧

Saved this customer from hauling this machine to the road let alone back to town, and that’s what I’m striving for. Convenience for you guys. 👊🏻

It’s been a very busy start to spring, and I’m pleased to have the opportunity to work for all of my customers and future customers.! 🚜

I’ve been lacking on the advertising due to accepting a part time job instructing Automotive Technology with Indian Hills, and juggling keeping up with everybody along with keeping everybody’s equipment running. I’m nearing the end of the school year, and looking forward to stacking my books full, and serving Southeast Iowa. 🙌🏻

Manifesting this dream one day at a time, and am thankful for everybody’s support. I’m here to stay. 👊🏻

Did I need to spend the extra time scraping / cleaning all the grime? No not really, as a flat rate tech would’ve just cleaned the gasket surface & slapped the intake on.
Over here? Absolutely, I’ll go the extra mile to justify your bill. 👊🏻
200k mile engines are bound to leak from somewhere. This thing left my shop looking like it never leaked a drop. 🔥

Talk about getting the goodie out of something, sheesh. 😅😮‍💨

After this customer called me to come check his MFWD out, I quickly found it was not functioning but could hear a ton of noise coming from the axle housing area. After tearing into it and finding about $9,000 in damages, this customer opted to go with a replacement to limit down-time & ensure he doesn’t have any further issues. Time is money! ⏰💰

Rebuilding this would’ve been a timely job, a very good money making job. But for about $2,000 more he could have an entire new axle ready to drop in. Cuts about 15 hours of my time out but ensuring the customer gets the best outcome for his money spent, he decided to go with new.

It’s getting to be beautiful outside, and all the equipment is about to start trickling out of the sheds. Get ahold of me if there’s anything I can do for you! 📞

If you’re noticing oil loss or the smell of burning oil but not seeing where it’s coming from, look no further. The Oil Filter manifold is a very prone to fail part on these considering they sit underneath the intakes and see heat non-stop. It will fill the whole valley with oil to burn, and let me tell ya, it holds quite a bit of oil in there. 😅
Got the gasket surfaces all cleaned up and the Valley was squeaky clean before reassembly. 🧽

This customer opted to go with the upgraded aluminum housing to ensure we don’t have to do this job again. 👍

Vehicle sounding like keys in a blender on start-up? 🔑 You may just be on borrowed time with your timing chain set, just like this customer! ⏱️

What an engineering fault to have 2 “timing chains” along with requiring a transmission removal to complete the job.. 😮‍💨

This thing will be back on the road for another 100k+ miles. Remember folks, timing chains, belts, and components are all wear components that will wear out at some point. Get ahold of me if you’re having any issues! 📞
