🎒📚 Alabama’s Back-to-School Sales Tax Holiday Is Almost Here!

The State of Alabama’s annual Sales Tax Holiday begins at 12:01 a.m. on July 17th and ends at 12:00 midnight on July 19th.

Shoppers can enjoy tax‑free savings on a wide variety of back‑to‑school essentials.

Please complete the transportation form as soon as possible. We have a new bus loading and unloading system this year, and completing the form will ensure your child is assigned to the correct bus and ready to ride during the first week of school.
If your child is a car rider, completing the form also allows us to have car tags ready for pickup at Meet the Teacher.
If you are new to Elberta or this is the first time you will ride a bus, go ahead and complete the form so we can get your child assigned.
You must be registered to be assigned to a bus. Thank you for helping us make the start of the school year safe and smooth.

Below is the update on the plans for our sweet Lyla’s Celebration of Life!! 💜

Please join us as we come together to celebrate the beautiful life of our sweet Lyla. While our hearts are heavy, we want this day to reflect the joy, love, laughter, and light that she brought to so many lives.

We will have live music, food trucks, a water slide and a few other activities.

This celebration will take place just 3 days shy of Lyla’s 12th birthday! We can’t think of a better way to honor her than by gathering with the people who loved her most and celebrating the joy she brought into the world.

We would be honored to have you join us as we remember Lyla, celebrate her life, and keep her beautiful spirit alive in our hearts. 💜

Mrs. Orbann served as our school-based Math Coach last year and will be returning this year as an OMI Math Coach! We are excited to welcome her back in her new role! 🎉

Hi! My name is Ashley Orbann and I'm excited to continue my time with EES in a new role, OMI Math Coach! This will be my 17th year in education, and my 7th at Elberta since moving from Georgia with my family 8 years ago. When I'm not at school, you will see me around town with our boys at either a soccer or baseball field. I look forward to continuing my journey with our mini-Warriors!

Mrs. Sanderson is not new to EES, but we are welcoming her back as a new OMI Math Coach! 🎉

Hi, my name is Teresa Sanderson. I am so excited to begin a new chapter as a math coach at Elberta Elementary! I have 17 years in education and hold a master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction and Educational Leadership, both from the University of West Florida. After 4 years of teaching 6th-grade reading, I’m looking forward to this new role! When I’m not at school, you can find me spending time with my grandchildren, traveling, crafting, or reading a book.
