We’ll start with our monthly meeting at 9:30 AM, followed by the Chihuahuas game at 11:00 AM. Members who attend are invited to stay and enjoy the game with food and drinks included.

🚗 EPIADA April 2026 Meeting Recap 🚗
A big thank you to everyone who joined us and to ASC Warranty for sponsoring this month’s breakfast and presentation.
We also want to thank Ruben Gonzalez for joining us and sharing county updates, including current webDEALER processing numbers and upcoming TxDMV training reminders for dealers.
📋 Here’s a recap of the key updates from this month's meeting:

🏛️ COUNTY / WEBDEALER UPDATE
• El Paso County reported 794 pending webDEALER transactions as of Tuesday morning
• The office worked 449 transactions the day before
• Current processing is averaging 400–600 transactions per day
• El Paso County was recognised during the meeting as performing very strongly compared to other counties on plates and stickers

⚖️ DMV TRAINING REMINDER
• Upcoming TxDMV training will cover vehicle weight and registration classes
• Members were encouraged to register through the DMV link shared with the association

🛡️ ASC WARRANTY PRESENTATION
• ASC focused on the importance of vehicle service contracts for protecting the customer, the dealer, and the lender
• A major point discussed was that unexpected repairs often lead customers to choose between fixing the car or making their payment
• ASC encouraged dealers to present the service contract from the start of the deal, not as an add-on at the end
• They also stressed the value of using a signed disclosure/declination form when a customer chooses not to take coverage

💳 ASC FINANCE OPTION
• ASC shared that service contracts can also be financed in certain situations, including cash and buy-here-pay-here deals
• They also announced a free F&I training the next morning for dealers interested in learning more

🚘 CREDIT ACCEPTANCE UPDATE
• Credit Acceptance shared their model for allowing dealers to continue earning beyond the initial deal
• They also announced that starting the following week, they would begin financing clean-title vehicles with structural damage

📄 COMPLIANCE REMINDER
• An important reminder was shared that a dealer warranty is not the same as a third-party vehicle service contract
• Dealers were encouraged to use the proper terms and keep signed disclosures when protection products are offered or declined

✨🚗 A quick update from EPIADA President Cesar Stark

Thank you to American Assurance Corporation for sponsoring and sharing valuable insight on their dealer products. This month’s meeting also included a hands-on training session focused on VTNs and proper processing�
Moving forward, EPIADA will be incorporating training sessions into every meeting to continue supporting and educating our dealer community.

We’ll see everyone back at Palenque Grill in April for our next meeting, sponsored by ASC Warranty.

ADDITIONAL UPDATES: Our May event sponsored by National Lenders will be held at the Chihuahua’s Stadium, where we’ll host a short meeting followed by a baseball game, with lunch and drinks provided.
