Jay's Automotive was started in 1976 by Juan Jimenez Sr. It started off as a used car lot and full service Thunderbird gasoline station. The late 1970's were very difficult for small gasoline stations due to the gasoline crisis. High interest rates of that era all but killed the newly started used car business. Jimenez began to perform oil changes and minor mechanical repairs. He quickly developed

a loyal customer base who appreciated his attention to detail and great customer service. Jimenez opened up a second location at 941 Lomaland and today both businesses are owned and operated by Juan Jimenez Jr. Jay's Automotive on Lomaland and Alameda have become two of El Paso's most successful independent repair shops thanks entirely to their incredible customers! Come by either location and experience for yourself the first class customer service and automotive service which they are known for.
