Minimum qualifications include:
✅ Current full-time peace officer (or separated/retired within the last year)
✅ 3+ years of qualifying full-time patrol experience
✅ Texas Peace Officer License (or obtain your TCOLE license before the Academy if applying from out of state)
✅ U.S. citizen or naturalized citizen
✅ Meet all driving, criminal history, and background standards
Reserve, corrections, detention, federal, and military law enforcement experience does not qualify toward the patrol experience requirement.
