My daughter didn’t just follow in the family career, she carried the Portillo name into her own community. And what that name has always stood for is simple: help people, walk them through the hard times, and earn the trust that comes with it. That’s the real family business, passed down three generations now 🙌

When she was little, my daughter thought it was sad that I was always at people’s funerals 🤍

She didn’t understand it yet. I wasn’t there for paperwork, I was there for them. Showing up in the hardest moment a family ever faces, and keeping a promise.

That’s the whole job. That’s the legacy.
