He's a chef. He learned in our kitchen growing up, and now he does the cooking so I don't have to.

He also says I'm the mayor of the West Side. I'm not arguing. 😂

The kids are like squirrels. 😂

When they were little, I'd take their feet out from under them with a pillow. Now I can't walk across the house without a ball hitting me in the back of the head.

Fair is fair. They're beautiful kids. ❤️

Family is why I do what I do. My door's open, come see us.

My grandkids get away with things my kids never did.

Swimming at 10 o'clock at night. Movies on a school night. A trip to the ice cream shop just because they asked. My kids had a more planned upbringing. My grandkids get the fun version of me.

Everything I built makes sense the second those two walk through my door. That is what all of it was for. ❤️

I was nervous with my first family. I didn't know much yet, I just wanted them to feel like I understood what they needed. I'm still taking care of them: their kids, their kids' kids, and now their great grandkids ❤️ Every family I sit down with, I'm still thinking about that first one.

I've been coming up to those lookouts longer than some of my customers have been alive.

You can see West El Paso, downtown, and Mexico from up there. Families have been hauling picnics to those spots for generations, and everybody has their own story.
