Round 3 race report 🥇🥈🥇
Due to the inclement weather that we had on Saturday, 50mph dust storm winds, I used qualifying for my first practice and didn’t really go all that quick due to accidentally mounting a dyno tire that was completely bald. I honestly think if I did five more laps, the cord would’ve come out on the edge of the tire haha.
Unlimited Superbike- 1st 🥇
I got the hole shot and put my head down as best as I could and try to put down consistent laps I flag flag achieving probably my best first race lap times I’ve ever done, 1:09.3. I looked at my data right after this race and decided to take out two turns of front preload and then I added three turns of rear preload. Off we go for the money!!!
Formula Arroyo- 2nd 🥈
Since I had a horrible qualifying, I started in the third row, and I knew that I was gonna have to get a decent start in order to stay with the front pack. I went to turn one in third right behind Roger who was right behind Dan. We basically stayed like this for I want to say about three laps.. It felt like we were just playing the leader. Roger finally made a pass on Dan going into horseshoe, so I knew it was time to go! I got an extremely great drive out of the esses and crept alongside Dan going into carousel. I pulled my Brake lever at 149.9 mph going into that turn and started what I call my descent into carousel LMFAO! I initiated my turn while I was alongside them and Dan had a horrible electrical failure and stood the bike up and around there was about an inch separating us for a moment to stand up to avoid collision and runoff. I cut back onto the track and I was extremely mad! Like yelling in my helmet mad 🤣 I tried my best to make up the gap but mentally I was so mad that I was missing all my marks and running wide and trying to get on the gas too early and just got a little emotional. And that was Race congratulations Roger. That was a really good race for you. It was cool to see you. Get frustrated trying to pass haha
Unlimited Superstock- 1st🥇
I wanted to make the race interesting so I started one row behind all the amateurs who was also behind all the experts. The first few laps, I wanted to ride an immediate pace to see if any of the amateurs could get a little bit of a tow off me. I passed all my first lap and did a decent pace and was hoping one of them would follow me. Scott had about three seconds of lead in front of me. and I put down my head to catch him and did a 1:09.6 caught him in a lap. Then I decided that he needed a toe and I let him follow me through sections not really trying to pull away but more so line selection and help him work on his drive onto some of the straights. He was able to achieve his best lap time of his life. That meant more to me than winning the race.
I want to think all my sponsors and friends for all your guidance and help!
